Lions are an international network of 1.3 million men and women in 200 countries and geographic areas who work together to answer the needs that challenge communities around the world. Beginning in 1917 , the association of Lions clubs has provided millions of people with the opportunity to give something back to their communities.Known for working to end preventable blindness , Lions participate in a vast variety of projects important to their communities. These projects range from cleaning up local parks to providing supplies to victims of natural disasters .

On the formation of NOIDA as one of the biggest Industrial city of UP(India) in 1980, It was felt necessary by the Industrialists & Prominent Citizens to perform their social and moral responsibility. They need a platform from where they can serve for the upliftment of the poor and needy villagers of Noida and its neighborhood. Lion Rajiv Mittal took the initiative to form a group of such persons and get them associated with the most reputed Charitable International Society. On 2nd October 1987 under his dynamic leadership, “ LIONS CLUB DELHI-NOIDA ” was formed with the help of 21 more generous persons as member of the club. On 22 nd May 1988 , the club got formal Charter from “ LIONS CLUBS INTERNATIONAL “ as one of their clubs attached to Lion Distt.321A1 .
